Natalia Charapova was born in Russia and has had a successful architectural practice in Canada and the USA. In 2001, upon moving to Corner Brook, the "enormous natural beauty of her new surroundings captivated her" spurring her to devote herself to painting.
Natalia has painted since childhood. At thirteen years old, she was accepted to the Art School in Russia. For the next five years, she studied under well known Russian artist Alexander Gromatskis. She furthered her artistic abilities with later studies in oil, acrylic and watercolor painting as well as sculpture.
Through her work, you can share the exciting and riveting beauty that Natalia sees in Europe and North America. This includes dramatic land, sea and city scapes; tranquil village scenes; picturesque still life pieces. She creates a magical experience through the use of brilliant colors and abstractions.
Natalia has participated in many art exhibitions in Russia. Her work forms part of the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador collection and is in corporate and private collections in Canada, the United Kingdom and United States. |
